Relative Pronouns: που, ο οποίος, όποιος, ό,τι
που is the everyday relative word for people and things, and it never changes: ο φίλος που ήρθε (the friend who came), το βιβλίο που διαβάζω (the book I'm reading).
ο οποίος, η οποία, το οποίο mean the same, but they take the article and are declined like adjectives. Use them after a preposition and in formal style: το σπίτι στο οποίο μένω (the house I live in), η φίλη με την οποία μίλησα (the friend I spoke to), του οποίου (whose).
όποιος, όποια, όποιο mean 'whoever, whichever' and agree with their noun: όποιος μαθητής τελειώσει (whichever student finishes).
ό,τι (with a comma) means 'whatever, everything that': Κάνε ό,τι θέλεις (Do whatever you want). ότι (no comma) means 'that' after verbs like λέω, ξέρω, νομίζω: Ξέρω ότι έχεις δίκιο (I know that you're right).
