El Que, La Que, Cuyo

After a preposition, Spanish uses el que, la que, los que, las que (or the more formal el cual, la cual, los cuales, las cuales). The article agrees with the noun it refers to: la casa en la que vivo (the house I live in). Unlike English, the preposition never moves to the end of the sentence.

• For people, quien / quienes also works: el chico con quien hablé.
• After en and de, a plain que is possible for things: el día en que nos conocimos.
• For places, donde is fine too: la casa en donde vivo.

Cuyo means 'whose'. It agrees with the thing owned, not with the owner: cuyo, cuya, cuyos, cuyas. Es la escritora cuyas novelas me encantan. (She's the writer whose novels I love.) Don't replace it with que su.
