Conjugations I-IV

In the Romanian language, there are 4 conjugations.

We modify the present endings from the infinitive will be added and end in a, for example: a mânca, a lua, a marca, a termina, a cânta

Verbs ending in a receive the following endings in the present:

a termina
eu termin
tu termini
el, ea termină
noi terminăm
voi terminați
ei, ele termină

Conjugation II is formed by the radical to which the present endings from the infinitive will be added and ends in ea, for example: a plăcea, a bea, a ședea, a tăcea

eu tac
tu taci
el, ea tace
noi tăcem
voi tăceți
ei, ele tac

Conjugation III is formed by the radical to which the present endings from the infinitive will be added and ends in e, for example: a merge, a face, a pune, a crede

eu merg
tu mergi
el, ea merge
noi mergem
voi mergeți
ei, ele merg

The IV conjugation is formed by the radical to which the present endings from the infinitive will be added and end in i or î, for example: a fugi, a ști, a coborî, a urî
