Not Only, As Long As, Only If

These pairs add a point or set a condition.

不但 … 而且 … = not only … but also: 他不但会说英语，而且会说法语。 With the same subject, 还 or 也 can replace 而且. 不仅 is a more formal 不但.
只要 … 就 … = as long as (this is enough): 只要你每天练习，就能学好。
只有 … 才 … = only if (nothing else works): 只有多说，才能说得流利。 Don't mix them: 只要 takes 就, 只有 takes 才.
不管/无论 … 都 … = no matter …: 不管天气怎么样，他都会去跑步。 The first part holds a question word or an A-not-A choice; 也 can replace 都.
除了 … 都 … = all except: 除了小王，我们都去过北京。 (Everyone except Xiao Wang has been to Beijing.) With 还 or 也 instead, 除了 means 'besides'.

而且 opens the second clause; 就, 才 and 都 stand after its subject, right before the verb.
