Regular Verbs

Verbs in Spanish are not used in normal sentence structures in the infinitive, instead they are adapted to the respective person. The conjugation of the verbs has to be learned in order to use the verbs in everyday life.

In Spanish there are verbs that are formed according to a similar pattern. We call these verbs regular verbs. Since the regular verbs make up a large part of Spanish verbs, it is very important to learn them.

Generally speaking, there are three verb endings in Spanish:

  • ar
  • er
  • ir

The verbs are conjugated according to the same pattern for different verbs, as in the following examples.
