Serbian · Imperative
j, jmo, jte
Imperative (commanding manner) is a simple personal verb form that is used to say a command, a request, or a wish to carry out a specific action. It is used in direct speech, in addressing the speaker to the interlocutor. Imperative only has second person singular and first and second person plural.
It is made from the third person plural of the verb in the present and the suffixes.
If the third person plural of the verb in the present ends with -ju it is discarded and we add suffixes:
-j (2nd person singular)
-jmo (1st person plural)
-jte (2nd person plural)
