Future tense
Imperfective verbs
The future tense refers to planned activities and things that are to happen in the future. To be created imperfect verbs must be used. They signify action as being not finished similarly to continuous tenses. Action described in the future tense is not described to be completed. Something will happen in the future, but with no exact time frame and limits.
Eg. Jutro będziemy malować pokój. —> Tomorrow we will paint the room. (unidentified time of the duration of the action)
Future form involves of two parts conjugation of verb być —> be in present tense and the infinitive.
być —> to be
Ja będę
Ty będziesz
On, ona, ono będzie
My będziemy
Wy będziecie
Oni będą
The infinitive remains the same for all grammatical persons. For masculine it ends with -ł, for feminine -ła or -la and neuter -ło. In plurals it ends with -ły or -li.
Biegać (to run) —> biegał (m.), biegała (f.), biegało (n.), biegały (p. f.), biegali (p.m.)
Czytać (to read) —> czytał (m.), czytała (f.), czytało (n.), czytały (p. f.), czytali (p.m.)
It does not have to be in any particular place in the sentence or close to verb być be.
Perfective verbs
Perfective verbs are used when the action is meant to be finished in the future (not like in a continuous tense). It is similar to the present simple or future tense.
Jutro wypiję szklankę wody. —> Tomorrow I will drink a glass of water.
Imperfective verbs can be recognized by extra prefix po-, wy-, za-, na-, do-, od- etc.
Pić (drink) —>wypić (to drink all that there is),
popić (to drink something to help you swallow), dopić (to drink the last of something)
However, there are some words that change more than usually:
Mówić (to say) —> powiedzieć
Iść (to go) —> pójść
