Definite Articles
We use the definite articles to refer to a person or a specific thing, objectively and precisely, and they always come in front of a noun, never by themselves.
o the (singular, masculine)
a the (singular, feminine)
os the (plural, masculine)
as the (plural, feminine)
They vary in number and gender, and we can contract them with prepositions.
