Käyttöehdot

1. DEFINITIONS

1.1 “LENGO”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the individuals providing LENGO.

1.2 “Service” means LENGO’s applications, website, learning materials and related features. “Customer”, “you” and “your” mean the person using the Service.

1.3 “Paid Content” means access, features or digital items purchased through the Service, including subscriptions and one-time purchases. “Customer Data” means information and content you provide, create or upload through the Service.

2. SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE

2.1 LENGO provides tools and materials for learning languages. Some content and features are available free of charge. Others require a subscription, one-time purchase or another form of access described in the app. Availability may vary by application, language, device and region.

2.2 You receive a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service for your personal use, subject to these Terms and applicable app-store rules. Family Sharing applies only where supported by the purchased product and the relevant store. For Apple downloads, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the application licence unless a separate custom licence is provided through the App Store.

2.3 Some features can be used without an account. Features such as account synchronisation and community participation may require registration. You must provide accurate account information, protect your login details and notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

2.4 If you are not legally able to enter into this agreement independently, your parent or legal guardian must authorise your use. Where parental authorisation is required for processing your personal data, the necessary authorisation must be obtained before you create an account or submit that data.

2.5 Before confirming a purchase, review its price, billing period, included content and any trial or promotional conditions. The purchase description determines whether access covers a particular language, application or broader offering. Payment is processed by the store or payment provider shown at checkout.

2.6 Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the applicable renewal deadline. A free or discounted trial may convert into a paid subscription at the price shown when you subscribe. For Apple subscriptions, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current billing period ends to avoid the next charge. You can manage or cancel through your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period, subject to the store’s rules and applicable law.

2.7 Deleting the app, deleting your LENGO account or contacting support does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by an app store. Purchasing lifetime access also does not automatically cancel an existing subscription.

2.8 A lifetime purchase is a one-time purchase providing access without a recurring subscription fee to the product and scope described at purchase. It does not automatically include separately sold products or services. Any changes to purchased access remain subject to your contractual and statutory rights.

2.9 Refund requests for purchases billed by Apple can be submitted through Apple’s refund service. Other purchases are handled by the relevant seller or payment provider. Refunds depend on the applicable terms and law. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory cancellation, withdrawal, refund or remedies for defective digital products. Where an applicable withdrawal right can end upon immediate supply of digital content, it ends only when the legal conditions, including any required express consent and acknowledgement, are met.

2.10 In-app coins, points and similar items are digital features of the Service. They are not money, do not earn interest and cannot be redeemed for cash. Their permitted uses are described in the app. These conditions do not remove any mandatory rights relating to purchased digital items.

2.11 You must not:

(a) use the Service unlawfully, fraudulently or to harass, threaten or exploit others;

(b) upload content that infringes another person’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;

(c) interfere with the Service, introduce malicious software, bypass access restrictions or manipulate purchases, rankings or rewards; or

(d) copy, redistribute, resell, scrape or reverse engineer the Service except where expressly permitted by us or by applicable law.

2.12 Learning results depend on your circumstances and participation. Translations, explanations, assessments and AI-assisted content can contain errors. Learning levels and progress indicators are estimates and do not constitute accredited qualifications. Check important information independently before relying on it.

3. CUSTOMER DATA AND DATA PROTECTION

3.1 You retain any rights you hold in your Customer Data. You must have the necessary rights and permissions to upload or share it, including permission to include another person’s personal information.

3.2 You grant LENGO a non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical presentation and display your content only as necessary to provide the features you use. Where you share content, this includes making it available to its intended recipients. This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to LENGO.

3.3 Public profile information, rankings and content you share may be visible to other users or people who receive a sharing link. Do not publish information you wish to keep private. Removing content cannot necessarily remove copies that other people have already lawfully downloaded or retained.

3.4 We may restrict or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. You can report unlawful content or misuse to contact@lengo.io. We will consider reports and take appropriate action.

3.5 Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Accepting these Terms does not, by itself, provide consent to optional marketing, tracking or any other processing that requires separate consent.

4. PROPRIETARY RIGHTS

4.1 LENGO and its licensors retain their rights in the applications, software, design, branding and learning materials, except for content owned by you or other contributors. Access to the Service does not transfer ownership of those rights.

4.2 Third-party and open-source materials remain subject to their applicable licences. Nothing in these Terms restricts rights granted to you under those licences or under applicable law.

6. INDEMNITY

6.1 Each party’s responsibility for claims, losses and damages is determined by applicable law. These Terms do not impose an unlimited obligation on consumers to defend or indemnify LENGO.

6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where applicable, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

6.3 Your mandatory rights concerning the supply, conformity, security updates and remedies for digital content and services remain unaffected.

7. TERM AND TERMINATION

7.1 These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using LENGO at any time. You can request account deletion through the account controls available in the app or by contacting contact@lengo.io. Subscription cancellation is handled separately as described above.

7.2 We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, unlawful activity, fraud or a security risk. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and allow you an opportunity to resolve the issue. Immediate action may be necessary where delay would cause harm or violate the law.

7.3 We may update the Service for valid reasons, including security, compatibility, legal requirements and improvements. Changes affecting paid digital products will be made only as permitted by applicable law. Where required, we will provide advance notice in a durable form and explain any right to terminate or receive a refund.

7.4 We may update these Terms for valid legal, technical or operational reasons. Material changes will be communicated before they take effect where required. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an existing purchase, and we will obtain agreement where legally necessary.

7.5 Account deletion and termination are subject to the retention requirements explained in the Privacy Policy. Termination does not remove rights or obligations that accrued beforehand.

8. FORCE MAJEURE

Events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, widespread network failures or governmental restrictions, may temporarily prevent us from providing parts of the Service. We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and restore availability. This clause does not remove any mandatory right to terminate, obtain a refund or seek another remedy.

9. WAIVER

9.1 A delay in enforcing these Terms does not waive the right to enforce them later.

9.2 If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

9.3 These Terms do not require consumers to waive the protections of their country of habitual residence or to bring claims exclusively in a foreign court. Applicable law determines your available rights and courts.

10. FURTHER INFORMATION
